Graham Nash to play Akron Civic Theatre

AKRON

Legendary songwriter and folk-rock artist Graham Nash will play the Akron Civic Theatre on March 16.

The show, dubbed “An Intimate Evening of Songs and Stories with Graham Nash,” will start at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $50 to $90 and go on sale Friday via Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 and at the theater box office, 182 S. Main St.

Nash is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee — with Crosby, Stills, and Nash and with the Hollies. The Grammy Award-winner was also inducted twice into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, as a solo artist and with CSN.

Nash has created a remarkable body of work, beginning with his contributions to the Hollies from 1964 to 1968, including “Stop Stop Stop,” “Pay You Back With Interest,” “On A Carousel,” and “Carrie Anne,” and continues all the way to “This Path Tonight “(2016), his most recent solo album.

Nash’s contributions to the CSN output include “Marrakesh Express,” “Teach Your Children” and “Our House.”

Comedy troupe plans show at Papa’s

CAMPBELL

The Comedians of Local Interest will host its monthly show at Papa’s Puerto Rican Restaurant, 284 12th St., at 9 p.m. Saturday.

Admission is $5, plus a one-drink minimum. Doors open at 8 p.m.

The show will feature regional comics Joe McCormick, Malcom Floyd, Will Hopkins, Joe Allan Summers and Johnny Lee Damn.
