Library to host video conference Thursday

Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., in the Quaker Room, will host a video conference program at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The conference will be, “Who’s Who in the Zoo,” presented by the Greenville Zoo, Greenville, S.C.
Registration is required and must be done online at www.salem.lib.oh.us or by calling the library at 330-332-0042. The event is free to attend and open to the public.
Homes needed before September

West Side Cats has cats 1 year old and older that need good homes before the move to the new location in September. All cats are spayed or neutered, have all shots and are micro-chipped. AHA announces new executive director
YOUNGSTOWN
The American Heart Association has chosen Tracy Volenik Behnke as executive director of the Youngstown Metro area. Behnke, who was promoted from the role of youth market director, will now lead the association’s mission-driving and fundraising efforts throughout the Valley. She will be responsible for community and volunteer outreach, overseeing the Heart Ball and Heart Walk initiatives and implementing a balanced fundraising strategy in support of the organization’s mission. Behnke has been with the AHA since 2013.
