Saturday — 24th annual Girard Lions Golf Outing at Mahoning Country Club. Cost is $70 per four man scramble. Cost includes 18 holes and cart, a steak dinner, beer and soft drinks all day, hot dogs and chips at the turn, donuts and coffee. 26 — Seventh annual Fitch 76 & Friends golf outing at Lakeside Golf Course Lake Milton. Shotgun scramble at 9 a.m. Cost is $70 per person. Skill prizes and hole-in-one contest. Dinner catered by Barry Dyngles. Auction donations are being accepted. Hole sponsorships available for $50. All proceeds benefit Austintown families or Fitch alumni. 26 — The Austintown Optimist Club Family Golf Scramble at Bedford Trails Golf Course. Shotgun start at 3 p.m. The nine-hole event is for two two-person teams of one adult and one player 17-and-under. The fee is $50 per team and includes golf, cart. non-alcoholic beverages, a hot dog and hamburger picnic afterward and trophies for the top three teams. Hole sponsorships are available at $50 per hole, three holes for $100 or seven holes for $200. SEPTEMBER

1 — Eighth annual Ron Meiss Jr. Memorial Scramble at Deer Creek Golf Course. The four-person scramble has an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. ‚ãA graduate of Hermitage High, Meiss Jr. was a teacher in Farrell Schools. He died in 2011 and a scholarship fund to assist local college students was founded in his name. ‚ãThose who would like to assist through hole sponsorships or other donations, and those who would like to play should contact Ron Meiss Sr. at 724-342-3513 or 724-977-1372 or Donalee Parker at 724-698-7513 or 814-931-1658.

8 — Answer to Cancer four-person scramble at Bedford Trails Golf Course. Cost is $60 per person with an 8 a.m. shot gun start. The event is supporting the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center and will feature a closest to the pin contest, hole prizes, door prizes and a buffet lunch.

15 — The Third annual Marian Living Center and Assumption Village outing hosted by the Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini Foundation will be at Mill Creek Golf Course on Sept. 15. Shotgun start will be at 9 a.m. Cost is $75 and includes breakfast, lunch, steak dinner and beverages.

30 — Beating Cancer with a Club for Anthony Gidaro at Bedford Trails Golf Course. All proceeds will benefit Gidaro who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The event is a four-person scramble with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Cost are $60 per person (includes: breakfast, lunch, 18 holes and cart, dinner and beverages) and $20 per person (inlcudes dinner and beverages). 30 — Three-Person Harvest Scramble at Tamer Win Golf & Country Club. Cost is $90 per player or $270 per team. Skins game included. Fee includes tournament entry, greens fees, cart, firs-tee gift, coffee and donuts and food from DiLucia’s. Call 330-637-2881.

OCTOBER

7 — Youngstown State Women’s Golf Annual Outing at Youngstown Country Club. The format will be a four-person scramble and the cost will be $90 per person. Participants can sign up as a foursome for $360 or have a member of the YSU women’s golf team be their fourth player for $330 ($60 for a YSU women’s golfer to be the fourth).
