The Armours celebrate 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Armour of Youngstown recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a cruise hosted by their grandchildren, Ashley Armour and Rondel Frank Armour-Jones, and their niece, Aretha Jennings-Duncan.

The couple’s children, Adrienne and April Armour, are deceased.

Mr. Armour and the former Helen Bland were married Aug. 10, 1968, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Youngstown.

Mrs. Armour works in nutrition services at Mercy Health in Youngstown. She also is a pastor’s aid and former Girl Scout leader.

Mr. Armour worked as an inspector at General Motors until retiring in 2006. He also was a sergeant in the U.S. Army. He is a member of the Voices of Zion Choir, a male chorus.

The couple are members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
