Nine Canfield High School art students in grades 10-12 have been accepted into the first juried 17 Under 17 Art Show at the YWCA of Youngstown. The show is a part of the 36th annual Women’s Artists: A Celebration Art Show and is the first of its kind.
Students featured in the show included Christine Bennett, Shiane Donnaurmmo, Steffie Marciniak, Aleia Osborne, Bri Parisi, Khushi Patel, Cameron Pellegrini, Anna Pugh and Grace Schuler.
17 Under 17 is a juried art exhibition for young ladies 14-17 years-old. A celebration party took place, which the students were invited to attend, on June 29. The show opened to the public on June 30 and ran until July 27.
Alongside these students, Kate Antal, Canfield High School art teacher, had two works of art featured in the 36th annual Women’s Artists: A Celebration Art Show.
“I am very proud of all of these young ladies getting their wonderful works of art accepted into this show,” Antal said.
