What: Explore the MetroParks Farm with a tour guide, including a visit to our playroom, a tractor-wagon ride and visit to the barns.

Where: MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Canfield.

Cost: Free

Tales for Tots - Sunny Sunflowers

When: Friday, 10-11 a.m.

What: Join us as we discover the big, beautiful flowers that remind us of sunny summer days.

Where: MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Canfield.

Cost: $4 for Mahoning County residents, $6 NR.

Details: For kids age 2 to 3, plus adult. Register/pay at Ford Nature Center.

Birding the Sanctuary

When: Saturday, 8-9:30 a.m.

What: Enjoy an early morning bird walk with Jeff Harvey looking and listening to the birds of summer.

Where: Mill Creek Wildlife Sanctuary, 2650 West Calla Road, Beaver Township.

Details: Space limited; registration required. Boots required. Moderate difficulty, 1.25 miles. Register at Ford Nature Center by today.

“Then & Now” Guided Garden Tours

When: Sunday, 2-3 p.m.

What: Sixty years ago, in 1958, Elizabeth Fellows donated her family’s property to the Youngstown Township Park District, now Mill Creek MetroParks. She wanted Fellows Riverside Gardens to be a place of beauty, to be enjoyed by all. Join a garden guide to learn what it looked like then and the way it looks today.

Traveling Naturalist

When: Sunday, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

What: Chat with naturalist Marilyn Williams at historic Lanterman’s Mill and the beautiful Mill Creek Gorge about the wildlife that call this area home.

Cost: Free

Fall Wreath

When: Tuesday, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

What: Create a autumn-themed wreath under the guidance of Judy Stanislaw.

What: Adults and kids are encouraged to submit entries of veggies, annuals, perennials, fruits, roses from 7-10 a.m. Saturday.
