THURSDAY

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have its monthly drive-through stuffed chicken breast dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The dinners include mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie for $7. Drive up to the door, and someone will take the dinners to your car. Call 330-549-2588 to reserve dinners and leave a name, phone number, the number of dinners wanted and approximate time of arrival. A percentage of the profits is used for local mission projects.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter and coffee. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $8 and will be available until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

VFW Post 2799 Auxiliary will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the post home, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield. Menu includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, Italian bread, coffee or tea. Cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

Brookfield United Methodist Church, on the Green in Brookfield, state Route 7, will be selling food items during its Summer Fest from 11 to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Items available are chicken dinners for $9.50, includes chicken, corn on the cob, potatoes and a roll; Italian sausage, pulled pork or roast beef sandwiches, $5 each or $6 for a meal to include sandwich, corn on the cob and watermelon; watermelon wedges for $1; bag of chips for $.50; homemade pie at $2.50; pie with scoop of ice cream for $3; and pop, bottled water or coffee for $1. There also will be vendors.

St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will host its Second Saturday Supper from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Takeouts are available. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under age 12. Menu includes haluski and kielbasa, applesauce, bread and butter, dessert and a beverage.

SUNDAY

Aut Mori Grotto will host a benefit Swiss steak dinner at the Aut Mori Grotto Hall, 563 North Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, from noon to 4 p.m. (or until sold out) . Cost is $10 per meal and takeouts are available. Menu includes Swiss steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, vegetable, rolls with butter, dessert, and hot or cold non-alcoholic beverages. Aut Mori Grotto is a nonprofit fraternal organization of master Masons that supports the following charities: dentistry for challenged children under 17 years of age, cerebral palsy, Akron Children’s Hospital and Sojourner House. UPCOMING

Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., North Lima, will have a produce sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 18 and 19. On Aug. 19 from noon to 6 p.m., dinners will be for sale. Cost is $11 per dinner. Menu includes a choice of 1/2 cherrywood smoked chicken or cherrywood smoked kielbasa, locally grown sweet corn and homemade potato salad or macaroni and cheese.

Sharon First United Methodist Church, 237 West Silver St., Sharon, Pa., will host a baked chicken dinner at 3 p.m. Aug. 25. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Proceeds will benefit Red Bird Mission. All tickets will be sold on a pre-sale basis. The deadline to order tickets is Aug. 18. To order tickets, contact the church office at 724-983-0200. Monetary donations accepted.
