Resetar strikes out 9 in Boardman 10-U win

The Boardman 10-U All-Star beat New Philadelphia 4-0 behind a dominating pitching effort from Colin Resetar who went 51/3 innings of one-hit ball with nine strikeouts before handing the ball off to Gabe Hammerton to finish the shutout. Resetar and Nate Adams drove in two runs apiece and Ryan Smith had two hits to lead the offense. Boardman now plays the loser of the Shelby/Maumee game on Thursday at 5:30pm.

Canfield 11-U advance following close win

The Canfield 11-U All-Star baseball team beat Loveland 9-7. Trey McNutt led the way with four hits, three RBIs and three runs scored. David Murphy had two hits and drove in two runs. Angelo Delucia, Zain Jadallah and Drew Snyder all pitched in the win. Canfield will play New Albany on Thursday at 4 p.m.
