BERLIN CENTER

Jacob Carfalo and Taylor Squiric combined to toss the shutout for the Rams. Carfalo’s two hits included a double and he scored three runs. Squiric had two hits and drove in two runs. Dakota Edwards’ three hits included a double and drove in two runs. Evan Erb also had two hits. For the Blue Devils (9-7, 7-4 Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference), Dom Velasquez had three hits while Ryan Demsky and Garrett Mihalick had two apiece. Brycen Jackson doubled.

SOFTBALL

Grand Valley 10, Howland 9

AKRON

Danni Shreve and Summer Poyer each had three hits for the Mustangs at Firestone Stadium. For the Tigers, Emily O’Connell had three hits while Lindsey Shrodek drove in three runs and scored twice. Mackenzie Maze, Gabby Hartzell, Kendyl Buckley and Marissa Jerina each had two hits.

Danville 7, Howland 0

AKRON

Kara Gunter and Megan Gymere each had two hits for Danville. For the Tigers, Maze, Hartzell, Bailee Beassom and Buckley each had a hit.

EAST FAIRFIELD

Mackenzie Daub had three hits and scored four runs to lead the Rebels. Haley Eskra, Olivia Strank, Trinity Boston, Alisha Steeves and Baylie Betture each had two hits. For Sebring, E. Whaley had two hits. In the second game, Boston had four hits and scored three times, Skyler Mattern had three hits.
