Youngstown Comedy Festival on tap this week

The Youngstown Comedy Festival will take place Wednesday through Saturday, with touring comedians and local comics taking the stage four-straight nights.

The festival is a competition, with the winner receiving a cash prize.

The judges include former local TV newsman Mike Case, comedy club owner Dave Robich and Star 94 radio personalities Lovetta Jenkins, Brian VanDusen and Shelly Turner.

It will also include headlining performances by Katrina Brown, Aaron Kleiber, Juanda Mayfield and more.

Here is the schedule:

Wednesday: B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance at pageoneliveevents.com. Katrina Brown is the headliner, and the hosts will be Melissa Katsaros and Jon Huff.

Thursday: Cafe 422, 4422 Youngstown Road, Warren, 7 p.m. Tickets are $15; go to pageoneliveevents.com. The headliners will be Aaron Kleiber and Juanda Mayfield, with special performances by Eric Thompson and Greg Smrdel. Katsaros and Huff will be hosts.

Friday: Ford Family Recital Hall, 260 W. Federal St., Youngstown, 7 p.m. Tickets are $18, $20 and $35 and are available in advance at youngstownsymphony.com or by calling 330-744-0264. Headliners are Chris Porter, Kate Quigley, Ritchie Redding and Rob Allen. Music by DJ Fresh. Hosts will be Katsaros and Mack McLendon.

Saturday: Ford Family Recital Hall, 260 W. Federal St., Youngstown, 7 p.m. Tickets are $18, $20 and $35 and are available in advance at youngstownsymphony.com or by calling 330-744-0264.
