AJWL hosts scholarship fundraiser

The GFWC Ohio Austintown Junior Women’s League recently hosted its annual scholarship fundraiser, “A Taste of Austintown.” More than 300 guests gathered at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown to taste offerings from 18 local vendors. Judges included Bob Gavalier, Austintown police chief; Carole Rimedio-Righetti, Mahoning County commissioner; and Anthony Sertick, Youngstown Municipal Court magistrate. Austintown Pizza & Chicken won the People’s Choice Award for Best Taste, Rachel’s Restaurant & Catering won Judges’ Choice for the Best of the Best, and Hollywood Gaming won the People’s Choice Award for Best Presentation.
