School board honors late architect

Staff report

New Middletown

His work can be seen all over the campus at Springfield Local Schools. The Springfield Board of Education recently passed a resolution in memory of Raymond Jaminet, a local architect, who died in March. Jaminet served as the architect for the new Springfield Elementary School, which was completed in 2015. He also worked on several other projects in the district, including the design and construction of the football stadium, concession stands, bandshell, track, administrative complex and more. Superintendent Tom Yazvac read a resolution thanking Jaminet for his dedication to the district and praised his work ethic.

Jaminet’s sons, Raymond Jr. and Phillip Jaminet, along with Tracie Kaglic, president of and architect with Olsavsky Jaminet Architects, attended the meeting.
