Zedakers celebrate 60th anniversary


HUBBARD

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Welchman Zedaker of Hubbard recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

The couple’s children are Raymond Edward (Tamara) Zedaker of Hubbard; Leonard E. (Nancy) Zedaker of Hubbard; Susan G. (Samuel, deceased) Savon of Austintown; Diane C. (Daryl) Wolfe of Mineral Ridge; and Eric Welchman Zedaker of McDonald.

The couple have five grandchildren, Rachel, Yvonne Marie, Samuel, Jennifer and Bridget. Nine great-grandchildren complete their family.

Mr. Zedaker and the former Lillian Grace Bloom were married Feb. 4, 1958, in Vernon.

Mrs. Zedaker was a clerk at Meloni Grocery Store and at McKelvey’s Department Store as a bookkeeper in accounts payable. She had a cleaning business for 24 years and then was an environment associate at St. Elizabeth Hospital for 21 years. She also became a certified nurses aide.

Mr. Zedaker worked at the Pennsylvania Railroad. He also worked on the receiving dock at McKelvey’s, as an assembler at Wean United and as an electrical motor repairman for Winkle Electric. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

The couple are members of Pleasant Valley Evangelical Church in Niles.
