Youngstown teen pleads guilty to 2015 homicide


YOUNGSTOWN — A 19-year-old who was originally charged as a juvenile for a shooting death in 2015 pleaded guilty today in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court to a charge of murder.

Judge Lou D’Apolito will sentence Braquan Walker of Palmer Avenue on May 18 after he pleaded guilty to murder with a firearm specification for the July 26, 2015, shooting death of Jarrell Brown, 18, at West Indianola Avenue and Market Street.

Walker faces a sentence of 18 years to life at sentencing.
