Damascus Elementary celebrates Dr. Seuss

Damascus Elementary School celebrated Dr. Seuss and his books for an entire week. Each day was a different theme culminating with a “Green Eggs and Ham” feast. The students wore their favorite color and dressed-up as their favorite book characters. One of the guests included Kim Lewis from the Green Team, who read “The Lorax” with kindergarten and first-grade classes. Students also created Lorax puppets and were given a pencil made from recycled materials. Above, from left, kindergarteners Alexis Karlen, Audrey Campbell, Addison Miller and Samantha McCracken enjoy their Dr. Seuss-inspired green eggs and ham.
