Boardman police investigate business break-ins


BOARDMAN — Township police are investigating a break-in at a U.S. Route 224 plaza reported Sunday.

According to a police report, police were dispatched to 374 Boardman-Poland Road about 9 a.m., where a cleaner had noticed items out of place.

Police said Admin Net Tech, Architectural Design Inc, McCarthy & Barnhart accounting, and several vacant suites had been broken into.

Police said surveillance video shows a thin white male between 5 feet 6 inches and 6 feet tall. He wore a mask, gloves and coat, and appeared to walk with a limp, according to the report.

A hammer the suspect was seen carrying in the video was found at the scene, police said.
