Annual fundraising run/walk to fight autism is Saturday in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN — The Autism Society of Mahoning Valley will host its annual Valley Autism 5K and Family Fun Walk, presented by Columbiana Chrysler Jeep Dodge & RAM Trucks and Greenwood Chevrolet, on Saturday at Austintown Township Park, 600 Kirk Road.

Registration, kid’s entertainment and a special needs resource fair start at 8 a.m., followed by the 5K run and timed walk at 9 and the one-mile fun walk at 10.

The event also will include a DJ, bounce house, petting zoo, pony rides, indoor obstacle course, balloon artist, and photo booth. Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraising teams as well as to the top runners in each age category and top overall male and female in the 5K/walk category.
