Evanses mark golden wedding anniversary

Richard and Sandra Evans of Diamond recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a private dinner at The Upstairs in Austintown. It was hosted by their daughter, Tracy Arkwright, and granddaughter, Lizzy Mims.

The Evanses’ are the parents of Jeffrey Evans of McDonald and Tracy Arkwright of Lake Milton.

Three grandchildren, Lizzy Mims, Matthew Arkwright and Alyssa Evans, and one great-grandchild, Rowan Justice, complete their family.

Mr. Evans married the former Sandra De Marco on Feb. 24, 1968, at Sacred Heart Church in Youngstown.

Mrs. Evans worked in retail sales until retiring in 2000.

Mr. Evans was the owner of Metalcrafts Inc. in Youngstown until 2013, where he still works under the new ownership. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964.

The couple are members of St. Josph Church in Newton Falls.
