Rachel Skoczylas, Ryan Tekac plan June celebration

Tom and Peggy Skoczylas of Warren and Jack and Marilyn Tekac of Poland are announcing the engagement of their children, Rachel Skoczylas of Warren and Ryan Tekac of Boardman.

The ceremony will take place June 16 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Warren with a reception planned at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center in Boardman. Invitations will be issued for both events.

The bride-elect obtained a bachelor’s degree in early-childhood education from the University of Mount Union and a master’s degree in educational administration from Youngstown State University. She is a second-grade teacher in the Howland Local School District.

The prospective groom graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in biology and earned a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering. He is pursuing a master’s degree in public health at YSU and is the environmental director for the Mahoning County District Board of Health in Austintown.
