SOCIETY DIGEST || Basketball event to take place today

YOUNGSTOWN

The "Above the Rim" basketballl event will take place at 6 p.m. today at Cardinal Mooney High School, 2545 Erie St. The event will feature a Battle of the Blue game supporting Mahoning County Children Services. The game will be between the Youngstown Fire Department and the Youngstown Police Department and is sponsored by Buckeye Health Plan. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under age 12. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and there will be music, food, a gift basket raffle and a half-court contest prize.
