Youngstown State sophomore golfer Katlyn Shutt was named the Horizon League Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.

Shutt shot a 74 to tie for medalist honors and help lead YSU to a first-place finish in the Sand Ridge Shootout at Sand Ridge Golf Club in Chardon, Ohio on Friday. Her teammate Megan Creager also shot a 74 to finish in a tie for first atop the leaderboard.

YSU will be in action at the Horizon League Championships beginning Sunday at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
