Mahoning Valley Young Professionals will host a mixer from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Avalon Downtown, 17 W. Federal St.

The event, which is free for members and $5 for non-members, will feature networking, pizza, appetizers and a cash bar. Contact info@mvypclub.com with any questions or concerns.

Church to sponsor rummage sale

Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive, will host its Cancer Relay Rummage Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 27 and 28. Half off and bag sale will be all day Saturday.

All proceeds will benefit the Relay for Life team. Food will be served all day. Homemade soup by the quart, sloppy joes, hot dogs and baked goods will be available for purchase. Anyone wanting to donate items can drop them off at the church from 9 to 4 p.m. April 23 to 26. No tires, televisions or computers will be accepted.

Items needed include kitchen items, toys, furniture, tools, clothes, books and more. Anyone wanting to donate food can do so by Wednesday of that week. Call Bobbie Chalky at 330-782-8109 with questions or for information.

Raffle Day to benefit cancer society

WAMPUM, PA

The third annual Raffle Day fundraiser benefiting the American Cancer Society will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Mines & Meadows ATV Resort, 1307 Old Route 18.

Participants will receive a free basket raffle ticket at check-in with the $25 admission fee on the day of the event. Tickets will be available for purchase in the office. Drawings begin at 2 p.m. Once inside, food vendors will be available as well as gift baskets, a 50-50 and pro motorsports kid’s bike raffles.
