Aut Mori Grotto will host a beef tips and noodles dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Grotto Hall, 563 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Meals also will include salad, a vegetable, roll with butter and beverage. Cost is $10 per person. Proceeds will benefit Grotto charities and the building fund. Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for fresh potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. or until sold out Thursday and at 10:30 a.m. Friday, if available, by calling 330-746-9528. Pick up will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Lunches also will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will host Friday pirogi sales. Call in orders to 330-755-1316 Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with pickup from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Choose potato, kraut or prune pirogi at $6 per dozen.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will have a pirogi sale. The cost is $6 per dozen. Potato, cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi are available. Phone orders will be taken Thursday and Friday from 8 to 11 am. Call 330-542-3525 to order. Pick up Friday from noon to 3 p.m.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, is selling potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $7 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

Smiths Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will host a free Supper at the Corner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The public is welcome, and donations will be accepted to continue this program.

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Boardman, will host a creamed chicken and biscuit takeout dinner from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Dinners are $8 and include creamed chicken, mashed potatoes, biscuit, vegetable and homemade cookie. Drive to the back door to place your order; it will be taken to your car. FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 330-792-1005.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order, call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $7 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Use the side entrance.

SATURDAY

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Dr., Boardman, will host its second annual pulled-pork dinner which will feature Kevin Taraszewski, pitmaster and church member, from 4 to 7 p.m. Menu includes pulled pork, baked beans, cheesy potatoes, coleslaw, buns, drinks and dessert. Alternate menu for children is hot dog, tater tots and applesauce. Cost for adults is $10 and $4 for children. For information, call the church at 330-758-5745.

Sharon First United Methodist Church, 237 W. Silver St., will host a carryout-only ham loaf dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Menu includes ham loaf, potatoes, vegetable, applesauce and dessert. SUNDAY

St. Joseph the Provider Cultural Society, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, is sponsoring a Polish Food Fest and Basket Auction from noon to 4 p.m. A la cart menu includes stuffed cabbage, pirogi, kielbasa and kraut, cottage cheese and cabbage haluski and a dessert table. St. Lucy’s Cultural Society will sponsor a homemade spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. at The Palermo Cener, 394 Tenney Ave., Campbell. Menu includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, rolls, cake and coffee. Takeout will be available. Take your own containers or they will be available for purchase at 50 cents each. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

TAKING ORDERS

First Presbyterian Church of Girard will be selling broccoli cheese, vegetable beef and chicken noodle soups, home-made pepperoni rolls, fresh baked bread, and home-made sticky buns Saturday. The soup is $5 a quart and $3 a pint. Pepperoni rolls are $8 for the large and $2 for a single. Bread is $2 for a large loaf and $1.50 a for a small loaf and sticky buns are four for $2.50. This is the last soup sale until fall. Orders can be placed by calling 330-759-1460. Deadline for orders is today at 7 p.m. After that, items will be only as available. Pick up will be at the church, 890 Churchill Road, Girard, between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Girard First United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St., is taking orders for individual ham loaves for $2.50 each. Orders are due by May 4 by calling the church office at 330-545-4361. Pickup will take place from noon to 3 p.m. May 14.

Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, is taking orders for homemade creamed chicken on biscuit dinners. Menu includes entree, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw and dessert. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and younger. Order before Monday by calling 330-856-4204 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Walk-ins also are welcome. Pickup will be from 3:30 to 6 p.m. April 28.

Aut Mori Grotto will host its monthly pancake and sausage breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon April 28 at the Grotto Hall, 563 North Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. The menu includes pancakes (all-you-can-eat), sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, coffee, tea and juice. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12 and free for those under 3. The Grotto is a local nonprofit organization that supports charities such as Akron Children’s Hospital, Sojourner House, cerebral palsy and dentistry for challenged children under 17. Centenary United Methodist Church, 1413 Belmont Ave., Youngstown, will host a free community luncheon from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. April 29.

Sts. Peter and Paul Social Hall, 421 Covington St., will host a spaghetti dinner for the Deputy John “Sonny” Litch Memorial Scholarship Fund from noon to 3 p.m. April 29. The event will feature a basket auction, lottery tree, TV raffle and a 50-50 raffle. Takeouts will be available. Cost is $8 and $4 for children 12 and under. No tickets will be sold at the door. This scholarship is open to high-school and college students of Croatian and Hungarian descent and any student going into law enforcement. Struthers Band Boosters will host a pasta dinner fundraiser from 3 to 7 p.m. April 28 at St. Nicholas Great Hall, 764 Fifth St. Menu includes pasta, meatballs, salad, bread, beverage and dessert. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children 3 to 10 and free for children under 3. Entertainment will be provided by the Struthers City School bands; 6th-, 7th- and 8th-grade band and High School Concert Band and various solos and small ensembles. Proceeds benefit current and future expenses for new school instruments, new music, marching band uniforms and other equipment needs necessary to train the musicians in the Struthers Band programs.

Youngstown Shrine Club will host a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 29 at the club’s main hall, 1735 W. South Range Road, North Lima. Tickets are $10 for adults. Menu includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread, beverage and dessert. The public is invited to attend. Tickets may be purchased in advance from any club officer or on the day of the event.
