Man burned in Pointview Avenue fire

YOUNGSTOWN — Reports said a Pointview Avenue man suffered burns to his feet and arms after a fire broke out early today on the porch of his 1805 Pointview Ave. home.

Crews were called to the home about 3:50 a.m., where the occupants told them they had been sleeping in the living room when they woke up to smoke and fire on the porch.

They tried to put the fire out themselves before someone called 911, reports said.

Damage is listed at $3,000.

The fire's cause is under investigation.
