Benatar, Giraldo coming to Packard

Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo will come to Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave., on June 16.

Tickets are $72, $52, $42 and $32 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 and at the Packard box office.

Benatar and Giraldo last visited the Mahoning Valley in 2013, when they performed at Covelli Centre. Benatar is known for the songs “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “Love Is a Battlefield,” “We Belong,” “Shadows of the Night,” “Heartbreaker” and “Fire and Ice.”

Music of ’50s-’70s at cabaret series

Music at Madison cabaret series will present an evening of songs of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s at 7 p.m. Saturday at Dorian Books, 802 Elm St.

The evening will begin with a potluck dinner at 7 p.m. (potluck welcome but not required) and a show at 8 p.m. featuring Rodd Coonce, Patsy Sullivan, Colleen Chance, Jan Pentz and Carolyn Little-Stone with Jack Ciarniello on keyboard and Tom Ruggieri on drums.

Guests can sing along and dance in the room, which will be decorated with candles, mood lighting and flowers. The cost is $20 (BYOB, stemware provided). Reservations are required; call 330-743-2665.

YSU to exhibit art students’ work

YOUNGSTOWN

The Spring Graduating BFA Exhibition, an exhibition of works by graduating art majors at Youngstown State University, will open Friday in the McDonough Museum with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m., and run through May 5.

The exhibition will include the work of 12 students in ceramics, graphic and interactive design, interdisciplinary studies, painting, photography and sculpture. They are Venise Abell, Alison Begala, Marissa Cenname, Lorenzo Devine, Desmond Duque, Rickey Hagood, Jessica Hollabaugh, Meredith Loncar, Kaylee Mondock, Mike Rock, Rachel Rubinic and Amanda Spinosa.

Parking is available in the M30 deck for a nominal fee. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
