WKBN-TV broadcast signal changing

Staff report

YOUNGSTOWN

WKBN-TV 27 is changing the frequency of its over-the-air television broadcast signal, and local residents who watch the station with an antenna might have to make an adjustment when the change goes into effect on April 23 at 12:35 p.m.

The Federal Communications Commission has mandated the frequency change, which is something that it occasionally does in the course of overseeing broadcast stations.

Those who watch WKBN-TV 27 through cable or satellite will not have to do anything; your service provider will make all necessary changes for you.

Those who use an antenna to watch television for free will likely have to rescan their television set after the change takes effect.

Each television set is different, but this process will work for most:

Click the Menu button, or access the set’s menu feature.

Find a category titled program channels, scan or auto tune.

Hit enter, or start this process, and your TV set will be able to find WKBN-TV on 27.1

For information, go to WKBN.com/scan or go to TVAnswers.org.
