‘FaceAge’ at Shenango campus

Penn State Laureate Andrew Belser will provide tours of his innovative and award-winning multimedia installation “FaceAge” on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Penn State Shenango’s Lartz Memorial Library in downtown Sharon, Pa. Belser will also speak about the display at noon. Admission is free. “FaceAge” depicts encounters between young and old people that have been documented through digital recordings. The installation places audiences within a synchronized, three-screen surround where younger (age 18-22) and older (70 and up) participants can be seen studying, describing and touching one another’s faces. Above, David, 87, and Caleb, 22, are seen in a segment of the show.
