Youngstown cops probe stolen guns


YOUNGSTOWN — Police today took reports for two stolen 9mm handguns from North Side home.

A woman at a home on Redondo Road told officers about 8:10 a.m. that her Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun was missing from her car, which was unlocked.

About 9:35 a.m., a Wirt Street man told police he left his home at 11 p.m. Sunday and when he returned he found a window on his back door broken out, the house ransacked and a Taurus 9mm handgun gone as well as two flat-screen televisions, video games and about $25,000 worth of jewelry.
