History Day contest at YSU on Saturday
YOUNGSTOWN
The History Department at Youngstown State University will host the 42nd Region 4 Ohio History Day contest on campus Saturday.
Ohio History Day is an educational program for students in fourth- through 12th-grade. Students conduct research using libraries, archives, museums, and oral history interviews, on a particular theme; this year’s theme is “Conflict and Compromise.”
The Region 4 contest starts registration at 8:30 a.m. in the lobby of DeBartolo Hall. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center at 3 p.m. Winners advance to the state contest at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio, April 21.
