Farm guests can visit baby animals
CANFIELD
Mill Creek MetroParks’ annual Farm Animal Baby Shower will take place Sunday at the MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The free, family event displays the new arrivals at the MetroParks Farm, including goats, lambs and bottle baby calf (all born this spring), chicks, ducks, turkeys, geese and mother animals that are still expecting.
Visitors can bring cameras for photos, and cake and punch will be served while supplies last. Donations will be accepted. A cash-only concession trailer will be on hand.
The Farm Animal Baby Shower will also mark the official opening of the barns at the MetroParks Farm. The barns will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours until 6 p.m. during summer months, and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. For information, call 330-702-3000 or go to millcreekmetroparks.org.
