Police looking into West Side stabbing

YOUNGSTOWN — Reports said a 48-year-old Cool Street man told police early Saturday he was drinking with the boyfriend of a woman he was also seeing when he was stabbed in the hand at a West Side home.

Officers met the victim about 2:20 a.m. on Salt Springs Road, where he was bleeding heavily from a cut in his hand. He told police the suspect began arguing with him about dating the same woman and stabbed him.

The victim called police and ran outside, reports said.

He was treated at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
