SENIOR CITIZENS


Canfield AARP 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. April 9 at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Blood pressure will be taken from noon to 12:45 p.m. Susan McCabe, school teacher and Canfield Historical Society president, will present “The History of Canfield.” There will be a bus trip to see “Celtic Women Homecoming” at Cleveland State Theater on April 19. Included will be a dinner at Harry’s Steak House with a choice of four entrees. An overnight trip is planned to Erie, Pa., and Presque Isle State Park on June 26 and 27, and in August, a mystery trip is planned. For information and reservations, call Barb at 330-757-0780. Freetimers will host its monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Das Dutch Haus in Columbiana. All Youngstown State University retirees are invited to eat and socialize.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday at Lowellville City Hall conference room. President Brenda Perry will preside. Dues of $10 will be collected, and lunch will be provided by Phyllis Nolfi of Gianna’s Catering. The meeting will include a 50-50 raffle and white elephant bingo. PERI, Trumbull County Chapter 56 will meet at 11:15 a.m. April 18 at DiLucia’s Restaurant, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. Speaker will be John Haught, chairman of the PERI board of trustees. Police and Fire Retirees of Ohio and Widows of Ohio, District 2, Chapter 10, will meet at 5:30 p.m. April 12 at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Drive. Dale Baringer will speak.

TMH Retirees Club will host a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. April 9 at the Buena Vista Cafe in Warren. This month’s speaker is from Damsel in Defense on the topic of senior safety. All TMH retirees and former employees are welcome to attend.
