SOFTBALL

USA Softball of Pennsylvania and District 9 — say the 7th Ward Adult Co-ed League will reorganize and open play for a summer season of co-ed slow-pitch softball from May 4-Aug. 17. The league is seeking commitments from teams. The league will play on Friday and will consider Thursday and Saturday games as well to complete its schedule. Entry fee is $425. Teams will also be responsible to pay for umpires at $25 per game for league play and will play 10 doubleheaders ($250).
