Kelly Bako, Joel Younkins will marry Oct. 9

Kelly Nicole Bako and Joel Michael Younkins of Youngstown, together with their families, are announcing their engagement.

Miss Bako is the daughter of Bob and Wendy Bako-Wagner, and Mr. Younkins is the son of Gary and Janine Younkins of Hubbard.

The couple will exchange vows Oct. 9 during a beach ceremony at the Grand Plaza Hotel at St. Pete Beach, Fla.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology/sociology. She also graduated from Youngstown State University with a master’s degree in clinical mental health. She is an independently licensed mental-health clinician and employed as a supervisor at Valley Counseling Services.

The prospective groom is a graduate of YSU with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. He owns and operates Joel Younkins Training in Mineral Ridge.
