A summary of recent criminal activity in Girard and Liberty:

GIRARD

Sept. 24

Harassment: An East Broadway Avenue woman reported someone made four calls, one of which contained a threat, after a family member had accidentally dialed a wrong number.

Sept. 25

Assault: A woman alleged her former boyfriend had struck her face and spit on the accuser while he was at her Ohio Avenue residence to gather belongings.

Arrest: A traffic stop on U.S. Route 422 resulted in the arrest of Max A. Eaton, 25, of East Spruce Street, Girard, on a charge of operating a vehicle impaired. Eaton refused to undergo a Breathalyzer test, a report showed.

Breaking and entering: Someone broke a window and entered Trinity Highway Products, 1170 N. State St., before a man wearing a ski mask was reportedly seen on a security camera going through several desks. Nothing appeared to be missing, however.

Domestic violence: Monte R. Fry of Church Hill Road, Girard, was charged after a woman alleged Fry, 39, threw a hammer at a glass table, causing her to be struck by shattered glass. He also lit a butane torch and threatened to blow up the accuser, she further alleged.

Sept. 26

Drugs: While dealing with a fight in the 500 block of East Prospect Street, authorities charged Robert Arrowood, 27; Teresa Minor, 45; and Brian Kennedy, 48; all of East Prospect, Girard, with cultivation of marijuana after alleging a suspected marijuana plant was in the residence.

Identity fraud: A Lincoln Avenue woman learned that someone without authorization had acquired her debit-card and PayPal numbers to rack up 10 fraudulent charges that totaled about $898.

LIBERTY

Sept. 23

Aggravated menacing: A Monticello Boulevard man told police that while calling his wife, another man came on the line and threatened to harm the accuser.

Theft: Jimmy A. Williams, 30, of Norwood Avenue, Youngstown, was charged with stealing $122 worth of alcoholic beverages and other items from Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.

Assault: A Liberty man alleged that while visiting a family member at her Squires Court residence, a neighbor of the relative’s pushed him in the chest area, then threatened the family member.

Sept. 24

Arrest: While dealing with a domestic situation in the 1300 block of Keefer Road, police charged Anthony Crespo of Liberty with obstructing official business after saying he had provided a false date of birth. Crespo, 27, also was wanted on a New York City warrant charging drug possession.

Arrest: Officers responded to a report about a male slumped in a vehicle on Church Hill-Hubbard Road before charging William E. Reed, 47, of Mahan-Denman Road, Cortland, with operating a vehicle impaired. Reed refused to submit to a Breathalyzer test, a report said.

Assault: While dealing with a fight in the 1100 block of Church Hill-Hubbard Road, police charged James P. Feltner of Church Hill-Hubbard Road, Liberty, with two counts of simple assault and one of attempted burglary after a woman alleged Feltner, 27, had kicked her front door in an effort to enter her home. In addition, two of the woman’s family members told authorities he had assaulted them, a report showed.

Drugs: While conducting a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Belmont Avenue, police charged Nereida Acevedo, 35, of East Avondale Avenue, Youngstown, with two felony counts of drug possession, along with Luz E. Fragosa, 46, of West Hylda Avenue, Youngstown, with drug abuse after saying a bag of suspected marijuana was found. Also, a bag that contained part of a Xanex pill was in Acevedo’s purse, as well as suspected cocaine she admitted having bought, authorities alleged.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a report of a man with a handgun at a Church Hill-Hubbard Road healthcare facility before charging Vincent S. Perisa, 74, of Palmetto Drive, Hubbard, with criminal trespassing. Perisa, a former patient, brought to the business a loaded .22-caliber pistol that police seized, and no one was injured, a report stated.

Domestic violence: A 13-year-old township boy was charged with the crime after his mother alleged he had pushed her multiple times against a wall when she tried to prevent him from leaving the residence. The teen also threatened to kill the accuser while she slept, she further alleged.

Drugs: Authorities responded to a possible drug overdose at an East Liberty Street motel, then charged Jack B. Cornett, 65, with possession of heroin and drug-abuse instruments after saying they found the Lakeland, Fla., man passed out with a needle in his arm. Also, a bag of suspected heroin was in his room, a report showed.

Sept. 25

Arrests: After pulling them over near Belmont Avenue, officers charged Zeleyna O. Matlock, 20, of Morley Avenue, Campbell, and Sean Griffin Jr., 25, of Sixth Street, Campbell, with violating a protection order after police said they were informed each had such an order against the other. Also arrested was Nathaniel A. Britt, 31, of Akron, after authorities learned he was wanted on a warrant from that city.

Sept. 26

Criminal damaging: A Euclid Boulevard woman alleged that during an argument between them, her boyfriend tossed a small TV through a living-room window.

Drugs: Bradley J. Lawrence, 32, of Westwood Drive Northwest, Warren, was charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after police had investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of Tibbetts-Wick Road. Found was a white powder suspected of being heroin, as well as a straw commonly used for drug activity, a report showed.

Theft: A worker for a Belmont Avenue mobile phone company reported a $100 bicycle stolen while at work.

Sept. 27

Theft: A West Montrose Street woman alleged a woman who shared her phone plan has refused to pay the accuser back $531.
