WARREN

Daniel Blasco, 62, charged with promoting prostitution after a Sept. 18 raid on his Kenilworth Avenue Southeast home, has waived a preliminary hearing, and the case is bound over to a grand jury.

Blasco remains in the Trumbull County jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.

A hearing is planned for Tuesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court before Judge Andrew Logan to determine whether Blasco’s home will remain boarded.

A judge authorized the board-up the day of the raid on allegations that prostitution and possible human trafficking were taking place at the home.

Tracy Timko Sabau, assistant Warren law director, said investigators are aware of at least four women who claim to have engaged in prostitution at the home.

Neighbors also have complained about the house.

The nuisance action the city filed is similar to the method it used in 2012 to shut down eight massage parlors where the city alleged prostitution was taking place.
