YOUNGSTOWN — A woman was arrested after a night of drinking and playing cards ended with her allegedly hitting a man with her car late Monday night, according to a report.

Police responded to a fight call on West Boston Avenue and found Cheree Moore, 38, of Weston Avenue, leaving the scene with a man whose right eye was swollen shut.

The man told police unknown individuals hit him with “fists and sticks.” Moore led officers back to a home on West Boston.

Witnesses at the scene told police Moore and a friend came to the West Boston address to play cards. Alcohol was involved and when the man who arrived with Moore began fighting, they refused to leave, witnesses told police.

Moore and the man eventually got in her car and she began driving in forward and reverse in an apparent attempt to hit the people fighting with her and Jones, witnesses said.

Moore left, but then returned to the scene and hit another man, who had no apparent injuries but police described as lethargic.

Both the man who arrived with Moore and the man she allegedly hit were taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for treatment.

Police arrested Moore for felonious assault and cited her for driving under suspension.
