Tickets for the Cardinal Mooney-Buffalo St. Joseph football game football game Froday at Youngstown State University’s Stambaugh Stadium will be on sale starting today and will end Friday at 2 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the Cardinals’ Nest.

Reserved tickets cost $8, adult tickets are $7, student tickets are $3 and will be $8 at the gate.

Felony complaints filed against nine Gators

GAINESVILLE, Fla.

Florida standout receiver Antonio Callaway used a stolen credit card to add $1,970 to his campus bookstore prepaid account and then used the money to purchase a high-end computer and fancy headphones, according to university police.

Now he’s facing two third-degree felony charges and potentially the end of his college football career.

According to Alachua County court records, sworn complaints were filed Monday against Callaway and eight teammates. The players were suspended indefinitely in August. The State Attorney’s Office will investigate before deciding whether to formally charge the players.

The maximum possible sentence is five years in prison and a $5,000 fine per charge, but State Attorney Bill Cervone said first-time offenders would be eligible for a diversion program that includes reduced charges.

When asked about the potential charges affecting the players’ status with the team, coach Jim McElwain said: “You’re darn right.”

Running back Jordan Scarlett, defensive lineman Keivonnis Davis, defensive lineman Richerd Desir-Jones, linebacker James Houston, linebacker Ventrell Miller and receiver Rick Wells also are facing felony charges that include fraudulent use of a credit card and identity theft. Each of them made one charge with a stolen credit card number, ranging in value from $500 to $2,000, authorities said.

Rutgers loses CB Austin for season

PISCATAWAY, N.J.

Rutgers has lost top cornerback Blessuan Austin for the season with a knee injury.

Coach Chris Ash announced Monday that Austin tore his anterior cruciate ligament in the second half of Saturday’s 27-16 loss in Nebraska.

Ash called the injury a blow for the Scarlet Knights (1-3, 0-1 Big Ten). The junior had started in each of his three seasons. He earned honorable mention in the conference’s awards after last season.

Damon Hayes is expected to replace Austin in the lineup.

Ash says Hayes needs to improve and develop, but he’s excited he’ll have the opportunity to start.

Protest-free NASCAR race pleases Trump

LOUDON, N.H.

President Donald Trump lauded NASCAR on Monday because no drivers, crew or team members protested during the national anthem before a weekend race at New Hampshire Motorspeedway.

“So proud of NASCAR and its supporters and fans. They won’t put up with disrespecting our Country or our Flag - they said it loud and clear!” Trump tweeted Monday.

The comments came one day after dozens of NFL players took a knee or otherwise protested during anthems across the country in the wake of Trump suggesting teams could fire them for the gesture, which began last year as a way to raise the focus on social injustice.

Several NASCAR team owners and executives said Sunday they wouldn’t want anyone in their organizations to protest. Richard Childress, who was Dale Earnhardt’s longtime team owner, said of protesting: “It’ll get you a ride on a Greyhound bus.”

Childress said he told his team that “anybody that works for me should respect the country we live in. So many people gave their lives for it. This is America.”

Hall of Fame driver Richard Petty’s sentiments took it a step further, saying: “Anybody that don’t stand up for the anthem oughta be out of the country. Period. What got ‘em where they’re at? The United States.”
