EDUCATION

Kent State University has named Carmen E. Edgehouse Jr. as its executive in residence for the insurance studies degree program. He is the vice president and director of Oswald Companies Property and Casualty Middle Market team, based in Cleveland.

In this role, Edgehouse will serve as an industry resource to current Kent State students pursuing the insurance studies degree, while also working to provide opportunities for current insurance-industry employees who wish to earn or complete college degrees.

HEALTH CARE

Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice Greater Youngstown has been recognized by NorthCoast 99 as one of Northeast Ohio’s 99 best places to work. This is the first time Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice Greater Youngstown has received the award.

NorthCoast 99 recognizes great places to work for top-performing people that drive results, provide competitive advantages and allow businesses to innovate and grow. Applicants are evaluated based on policies and practices related to the attraction and retention of top performers, as well as data collected from employee surveys.

INSURANCE

Allstate exclusive agency owner Jason Durica, has been awarded for showing excellence in customer service and outstanding business results, by having his insurance agency designated as an Allstate Premier Agency for 2017.

The Allstate Premier Agency designation is awarded to Allstate agency owners who have shown what it means to be an excellent Allstate agent. To get this honor, Durica needed to meet certain criteria as an agency owner.

REALTY

The Ohio Association of REALTORS recognizes 12 Burgan Real Estate agents with the distinguished President’s Sales Club Award for 2017. This award is presented to individual Ohio real-estate agents who each successfully generated at least $1 million in annual home sales for the year.

This year’s Burgan Real Estate President’s Sales Club agents are: Award of Excellence for at least $5 million in sales went to Tibitha Matheney with $6,519,43; Award of Distinction for at least $2.5 million in sales went to Karen Ament with $3,641,500 and Valerie Park with $2,627,385; Award of Achievement for at least $1 million in sales went to Steve Rogers with $2,019,418; Traci Hardy with $1,842,849; Dacia Allen with $1,603,650; Kathy Szmaj with $1,475,950; Kathy Battisti with $1,237,082; Joan Zarlenga with $1,182,150; Lindsey Burgan with $1,012,250; Amanda Hamilton with $1,094,833; and Alisha Hall with $1,007,725.
