Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s luncheon with Ohio Auditor Dave Yost, which was scheduled for Tuesday, has been canceled. The chamber hopes to reschedule at a later time.
Auto sales up

Mahoning Valley auto sales in August were up year-over-year with 5,449 sales compared with last year’s 5,101 sales. For the year so far, sales are up with 40,622 sales compared with 36,089 sales made this time last year.

The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, in partnership with Walmart and Sam’s Club, officially kicked off its annual campaign to raise money for critical medical care for local children.
This year marks 30 years that Walmart and Sam’s Club associates have been helping families in their communities live better by raising funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Now through Oct. 29, customer donations will be accepted at the checkout registers at all Ohio Walmart and Sam’s Club stores. In addition, Walmart and Sam’s Club associates will be leading local fundraising activities such as contests, auctions, potluck and family events.
Forest Service, Idaho work to boost logging on federal land

The U.S. Forest Service and Idaho have forged agreements for logging and restoration projects on federal land in what officials say could become a template for other Western states to create jobs and reduce the severity of wildfires. Under the deals, Idaho foresters will administer timber sales on about 10,000 acres that the federal agency has on its to-do list but can’t complete because the money for the work is instead going to fight wildfires.
Not home? Walmart wants to walk in and stock your fridge

Would you be OK with letting a stranger into your house for the sake of convenience? Walmart is testing the idea with a new service that lets a delivery person walk into your home when you’re not there to drop off packages or put groceries in the fridge. The retailer said Friday it is trying out the service with a small group of tech-savvy Walmart.com shoppers in California’s Silicon Valley who have internet-connected locks.
Amazon signs deal to boost its restaurant delivery service
NEW YORK
The e-commerce giant Amazon said Friday that it is partnering with online ordering platform Olo, in a deal that could boost the number of restaurant chains on its Amazon Restaurants delivery service. Under the deal, restaurants that use Olo can list their menus on Amazon Restaurants. The restaurants would prepare orders, and Amazon would provide a worker to deliver it to the customer. Olo says 200 restaurant chains use its platform, including burrito seller Chipotle.
