Walkathon, Wellness event set at mall

The annual Walkathon and Wellness event in honor of National Falls Prevention Day will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at Eastwood Mall main concourse.

The event is sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging 11 and the Cafaro Corp. and will also feature activities and screenings. There will also be various exercise, balance and food-preparation demonstrations as well as a fall prevention presentation. A free lunch will also be provided.

For groups taking part in team walking, please RSVP. Groups of five or more must RSVP by today. Special accommodations must be made for groups arriving via bus or van. For instructions on van parking, pick up and drop off, please call 330-505-2300. Individuals need not RSVP.
