Susan Wolf, the Edna J. Koury Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, will present “Meaningfulness: A Third Dimension of the Good Life,” at 12:30 p.m. today in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University.

Sculpture workshop

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown State University’s Department of Art will sponsor a workshop and lecture by sculptor Linda Cordell on Wednesday. The workshop will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. in Room 1062 at Bliss Hall, and the lecture will follow at 5:10 p.m. in the McDonough Auditorium.

Volunteers needed for Ghost Walk

WARREN

Voulunteer Guides are being sought for Ghost Walk 2017. Guides lead the tours each evening. Each tour takes approximately 1 hour.

Ghost Walk is a 1-mile historic walking tour that begins each night at 6:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave., NW.

Actors will portray the restless spirits of people who once lived in Trumbull County. This year’s Ghost Walk will take place Oct. 13, 14, 22 and 23.

Those interested can sign up for as many nights and time slots that they are willing to participate. Guides will meet at First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave., NW in Warren at 2 p.m., Oct. 8 to review this year’s stories, learn this year’s tour route and talk about guide duties. Those wanting to guide but who can’t attend the meeting can give notification of that when signing up. To sign up, contact Barb at 330-718-3759.

New show set at Rust Belt Theater

YOUNGSTOWN

Rust Belt Theater to present “EMILY DICKINSON: Vampire Slayer,” a dark musical comedy, at 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sept. 29 and 30.

The new show, written by Robert Dennick Joki and Josh Taylor, is inspired by the poems, letters, life, and death of Emily Dickinson, one of the 19th century’s most prolific and mysterious writers ... but with a twist.
