Hundley case

YOUNGSTOWN

Judge Maureen Sweeney Monday approved two motions by a man acting as his own lawyer in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court in his capital murder case.

Judge Sweeney granted a request by Lance Hundley, 47, to allow a private investigator to interview him at the county jail and for jurors in his trial to view the Cleveland Street home where he is accused of killing Erika Huff, 41, and beating her mother in November 2015.

The judge, however, denied a motion to have an expert witness appointed for Hundley. Jury selection is slated for Friday.
