Kaylie McMurray and Dylan Nielson, both of Washington, D.C., were married March 9 in a courthouse in Washington.

The bride’s parents are Donald and Denise McMurray of Canfield.

The groom’s parents are Karl Nielson of Columbia, S.C., and Jeanette Miles, also of Columbia.

Mrs. Nielson received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ohio State University and a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Dayton. She is employed with Medstar Rehabilitation Network in Chevy Chase, Md., as a physical therapist and clinic coordinator.

Mr. Nielson received bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and genetics from Clemson University and a doctorate in Neuroscience from OSU. He is a data scientist for the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Md.

A post-nuptial reception will be hosted by the bride’s parents at their home in Canfield on Sept. 23.

The couple honeymooned in South Africa and reside in Washington.
