Q. When did you start playing your instrument and how many years have you been in marching band?
A. Patrick: I started in fifth grade, and have done marching band for four years.
Walsh: I started playing in fifth grade and I’ve been in marching band for four years.
Grenzig: I’ve been playing the baritone since sixth grade, and this is actually my first year of marching band.
Q. Do you play in any other bands?
A. Patrick: I play in the PSHS Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band, and Youngstown Symphony Youth Orchestra.
Walsh: I play in the PSHS Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band and Youngstown Symphony Youth Orchestra.
Grenzig: I’m in the PSHS Wind Ensemble.
Q. Why is music important to you?
A. Patrick: Music lets you say and express things in no other way possible.
Walsh: Music is important to me because it helped me discover what my passion in life is, and it will be a part of me forever.
Grenzig: I feel like music is important because it provides a common interest between people and allows them to connect more. It’s also just fun to do!
Q: Do you have any advice for underclassmen?
A: Patrick: Stick with it and get involved as much as possible.
Walsh: Just have fun. Dare to be great.
Grenzig: Stay in school, and don’t do drugs. Oh, and only you can prevent forest fires.
