YOUNGSTOWN — Reports said a man police arrested by serving a search warrant Wednesday investigating drug activity found more than $10,000 cash in his pockets.

Officers from the vice squad and Community Police Unit stopped a car at 427 Emerson Place on the North Side that was pulling out of the drive as officers arrived to search the home. Police asked the driver, Victor Green, 45, of Glenmont Avenue, and the passenger, Roscoe Burkes, 48, of New Road, out of the car.

When Green was searched, officers found suspected heroin, fentanyl, six pills and $10,781 cash.

In the car where Burkes was sitting, police found two bottles of pills. An additional $340 was found in the car's center console and another $571 was found in the house along with suspected marijuana and two scales.

Burkes and Green were both arrested on felony drug charges and taken to the Mahoning County jail.

A man in the house, Willie Caldwell, who lists the home as his address, was cited for misdemeanor drug charges and given a court date.
