Fire destroys vacant East Side home today

YOUNGSTOWN — Reports said a vacant 2851 Ridley Ave. home was destroyed early today in a fire.

Crews arriving at the East Side home about 12:30 a.m. could not even get inside to fight the flames because the first floor was gone. They instead set up to protect surrounding homes. Damage is listed at $3,400.
