Ensign Road closure
WEST FARMINGTON
The Trumbull County Engineer’s Office said Ensign Road in Farmington Township will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday for a culvert replacement. The recommended detour route is southeast on State Road, south on Phalanx Mills Herner, and west on Geauga Portage Easterly Road.
Screaming on porch
WARREN
Ryan L. Palm, 26, of Willard Avenue pleaded not guilty Wednesday to making false alarms after several incidents Tuesday in which he disrupted businesses.
He also told people in a home on Fairmount Avenue Northeast to let him inside because he had a gun.
Palm had just left a Warren hospital after being evaluated when he went to the house on Fairmount, he told police.
Residents said Palm was on the porch screaming about wanting to get inside at 11:54 p.m., saying he had a gun and pounding on the door. The family stayed inside and armed themselves in case Palm got inside, they said.
Police, who had dealt with Palm twice earlier Tuesday at businesses on South Street where he behaved erratically, took him to jail. He was released Wednesday on a $5,000 personal-recognizance bond, meaning he didn’t have to pay anything. A condition of his bond is he has to live with his mother, according to court records.
