Pair to face gun charges after Tuesday incident

YOUNGSTOWN — A man and a woman are expected to be arraigned today in municipal court on weapons charges after reports said police found a .22-caliber rifle and a 30-round clip of ammunition as they were investigating a menacing complaint about 12 p.m. Tuesday on Glacier Avenue.
Logan Greer, 21, of Niles and Laurie Webber, 47, of Salt Springs Road each face a charge of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. Webber faces an additional charge of aggravated menacing.
Police were investigating a complaint by a man who said he was accused of taking marijuana the night before by someone who called him on Webber's number when the two rode by in a van.
Police stopped it and searched after they saw Greer throw something in the back seat, reports said.
