Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business Administration will host the Youngstown Governmental & Not-for-Profit Update from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 15.
The seminar will be led by Dan Bradley, certified public accountant, in Williamson Hall on campus.
Bradley is a principal with the regional certified public accounting firm of Young, Oakes, Brown & Co. P.C. in Altoona, Pa.
Youngstown Governmental & Not-for-Profit Update will cover areas of accounting and auditing for nonprofit organizations and governmental units.

Additional funding
WARREN
The Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership will offer additional funding for the Building a Better Warren Mini-Grant Program thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley and the First Place Community Fund.
The Building a Better Warren program gives residents and neighborhood associations the opportunity to fund cleanup and beautification projects through $300 mini-grants.

Wellness walk
YOUNGSTOWN
A meeting of the African American Male Wellness Walk Initiative committee will be at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 12 at the Rose Room in the Cobbins Building, 1350 Fifth Ave.
The Rev. Dr. Lewis Macklin, walk director, said discussion will focus on the 2017 walk, the fifth year for the event, which was last month, and pre-planning for the next walk, which is set for Aug. 11, 2018, at the Covelli Centre.

YOUNGSTOWN
American Legion Post 737, based in Lake Milton, concluded a year of fundraising with the presentation of a $10,000 check to the Youngstown State University Foundation to create a legacy ROTC scholarship endowment at YSU.
Members of the Post 737 board of directors that established the scholarship are Robert Hughes, commander; Ed Villone, first vice commander; Anthony Viano, second vice commander; William Cameron, adjutant; Joseph Leonard, finance officer; and James Boehmer, past commander.
